Brooks 1/2 marathon .

Brooks Half Marathon 21km on 3.9.14 @ Bukit Jalil .

Registered this last year , before the race day , or i shall say the same week , i was absolutely nervous , with the new roads, and hills , which i thought i will walk all the way , but neverthless i only walked @17km (1km) and continued to run / walk after that . My goal for this run is 3:00 hours but guess I wasted at 17km .

On last tuesday , i stretced and sprained both legs ( splitting ) , the groin area were painful , walking made some difficulties , increased nervous .Saturday got myself into fitness revolution for the core and endurance and got the abs and chest pain. ( muscle stretching )

On the race day , i reached at 4am , so i dont get stuck in jam or i cant find parking .
Managed to park it just beside the starting line and behind the toilet booth . 

Nap for awhile and 5am woke up and drooof ! 
Have to queue up so long in the toilet , heart beating fast for the starting , havent apply sunblock and havent got my camera .

Made it at the last minute and grabbed my camera along , switched on and zits ! No memory card 😳 i have to carry all the way long with my camera but without memory card and run ! So pathetic ! No memories at the first bukit jalil run . Sighs . Thank god there were some photographers after that , at least there is still something and the most importantly , i keep on running with my garmin . To trace the time and distance so i can maintain and keep on pushing myself . 

At the first hill were about 8km , decided to walk but approximately 200-300m , there were one guy beside me , i saw he was like jumping big steps instead running or walking up , and then i tried , and oh yes ! Thats the skill ! I always get demotivated when comes to hills , it slows me down and keep me back . And i managed to conquer two hills using that technique ! Saved me ! 👍 learn new skills again . 

The process of this run i will say that its keeping me motivated , keep on running thou its slow , respect the event and appreciates the run when i still can . The most important is the whole journey process that i enjoyed ! 

And lastly , thank you brooks for making decision to continue the run as the API reading were less than 100 . Great job ! 

For people who commented on the medals , its not important how does it looks like . Titi doesnt gives u a tee or a medal which i participated in 50km and DNF . But DnF to me is ; do not forget to come back strong !!

Run to live . Continues to run instead of walking and overlapping myself .

It was officially 3:08 when i reached the finish line . This is my current personal best for 21km marathon . Aiming for 3 hours and reached back late .
